This is a German Edelstein Barvaria three piece tea set from the 1940’s in the Maria- Theresia pattern. The bold geometric pattern has a bright red color with black and grey throughout. The teapot, creamer, and sugar caddy have graceful lines and gilded edges. Each piece is marked, “Edelstein Barvaria Madrid- Theresia Made in Germany” on the bottom. The teapot is 11 inches tall with the lid and 9 ½ inches from the spout to handle (2.6 lbs). The sugar caddy is 5 ½ in tall and 6 inches wide (.8 lbs). The creamer is 3 ¾ inches tall and 4 ¾ from the spout to handle (.4 lbs).
